This time the Fashionista Spotlight is on one of my fave Youtube Gurus.

Helecia(iknowlee)she is so sweet I say that about everyone but its true when it comes to her..

I love watching her videos on Youtube she always has pretty smile and always something positive to say.

Besides her being a Natural Hair Guru she has a BANGIN' sense of style!!

I live for her OOTD!!

Helecia is my real name. Most people can't pronounce it correctly so they just call me Lee Lee. That's where iknowlee came from

 

How would you describe your personal style in 3 WORDS??

My personal style could be described as vibrant, funky, and fashion forward.

Do you follow trends or make up your own rules??

I like to do a bit of both. I don't like all fashion trends so I'll tweak them to make it fit my personal style. At times I do just make up my own rules and wear whatever I desire to wear. Fashion is all about what you make it, there really are no rules to the came. Making up your own rules is exactly how trends come about. Somebody has to step outside the box

Who are some of your favorite designers?

I don't have any favorite designers. I have never really been into name brands. I couldn't tell you the difference between on fashion designer and another.

What are your main beauty items that you carry with you on a daily basis?

I have to carry some type of lip products whether it be a gloss, lipstick or just Vaseline. Anything else I can just about go without.

 

What are five MUST have clothing items that YOU think a girl must have??

I think the top 5 clothing item a girl must have are a fitted pair of denim, a loose cream top, a black blazer, black pumps, and pencil skirt.

Blackberry or Iphone?

Although I don't own either a blackberry or i phone, I would definitely stick to Apple products.

Forever21 or H&M?

H & M and Forever21.....that's a pretty difficult one. We actually don't have an H & M here but I have had the privilege of visiting one and that store would swallow Forever 21 alive. Forever 21's swarm the Houston area but are a bit over rated. Therefore I would op for H and M. They seem to have more of a variety and better quality.

Heels or Flats?

Hands down flats. I spend to much time on my feet to bear the pain of heels.

 

Twitter or Facebook?

Neither. That's not even an option though.LOL I could go without both of them. My passion is Youtube

 

Who's style do admire most?(Can be anyone!! Not just someone famous) and Why??

STYLE PANTRY! I don't know here name but she is extremely popular. I enjoy her style because its original and spontaneous. You cant just group her into one category.

Describe your blog or website what should your followers expect from you??

 

I haven't yet started a blog but I have considered it. My Youtube channel is primarily based on natural hair styling and care. I do often throw in makeup tutorials, hauls and fashion styling

 videos. Its pretty much a mixture of what girls love the most. HAIR. MAKEUP. FASHION

 

What can people expect from you in the future?(Blogs,Projects,etc...)

I am particularly interested in doing collab videos with other YouTubers and Lookbooks

First Time Bantu Knot Out

Meet The Divas of Top Notch Diva Inc.

Hey Loves..This time I am doing something different on my Fashionista Spotlight. I wanted to do a spotlight on a wonderful online accessory business by the name of Top Notch Diva.

Let me start off by saying I found out about this website from Youtube. I came across their page and website. And let me tell you the whole entire time I was on their website I was like OMG! That is so nice...,WOW look at that, OMG that bag!! Usually when you go on an accessory website they have one group items that are nice for example on some sites just the earrings are nice and everything else is busted.LOL! NOT on Top Notch Diva the bags,earrings,necklaces EVERYTHING is TDF!! Before you go to the website because I know as soon as you get through reading this or before you are through reading you will want the web address. I have enclosed some pics below of some of their products so you guys could get a sneak peak*wink*! Also the owners of Top Notch Diva were so sweet they also included a little bit about themselves and their business!!

What inspired you to name your business??

We have been friends for 16 years now and have talked about becoming business partners for at least 5 years. Fashion is our passion and believe every woman should dress and accessorize to the best of their Diva ability

When did you start your buiness??

We have been doing this business for about 3-4 few years now by hosting jewelry and handbag parties while also selling to family, coworkers and friends. We started Top Notch Diva online boutique in November 2011 with dreams to eventually open a storefront boutique

What products does your business specialize in? (i.e. Handbags,Earrings,Hair,etc...)

 We specialize in statement earrings,rings and necklace sets as well as trendy handbags. We will eventually branch out to shoes in the future

What is your price range in your store??

Most of our accessories range from $10-$35 while our handbags range from $50 to $75.

Do you have a website or a storefront location?

Where would you like to see your business in the next 5 years??

 We would like to see the business grow from an online boutique to a storefront boutique while providing personal shopping needs in Dallas, Texas

 

What advise can you give someone that would like to start their own business like you did??

 I would say never give up on your dream, even if you have to start off on a smaller scale. Have a vision, a plan and a future goal.

Meet Brittany

Hey Loves! This Fashionista spotlight is a friend of mine that I have known since High School.

Both. If its a trend i feel is worth trying, I usually take it and make it my own

Zac Posen, BCBG, Rachel Roe & Rag and Bone to name a few.

What are your main beauty items that you carry with you on a daily basis?

I carry a bag of different lip glosses/ lip sticks in an array of shades. Never know when I'll need a pick up or a splash of color.

 

What are five MUST have clothing items that YOU think a girl must have??

A white button down, a pair of dark jeans (skinny &/or wide-flare), something leather other than shoes, a simple LBD (little black dress) & Blazer.

Thats tough! It depends on the mood. I'd even throw sneakers in the mix. I like to rock em all.

I love Angela Simmons style as of late. The girl can rock just about anything and most importantly, she owns it!

Yeeees! Nazi's closet, Wendylookbook.com Tuliavintage.com are just a FEW bookmarked on my phone. Lots more on my computer though lol.

Right now I only use tumblr but I'm toying with the idea of starting a blog. On my tumblr you pretty much get a since of my life. What I'm doing & fashions I'm lusting after.

What is your favorite Quote and what does it mean to you??

" Live, Laugh, Love." Simple. It means exactly what it says. Life's too short & tomorrows not promised so live I by that quote.

What can people expect from you in the future?(Blogs,Projects,etc...)

Future projects include that possible fashion blog I spoke about earlier, an online clothing boutique & possibly working with a few of Dallas' upcoming stylists. My future is bright & excited!!!
